Trip Report – Finger Lakes Trail In ASP – Oct 10

What an amazing day for hiking! The weather was perfect and the color in the woods seemed to be at peak: yellows, reds, oranges, green accented by a deep blue sky and often backlit by the brilliant sunshine. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. There were many forms of fungi, asters and goldenrod. We also were treated to a towhee sighting, and Bob E called responses to a barred owl. Those in the front actually saw the owl silently, powerfully glide by. He was not happy with our presence in his territory! This is just a smattering of images from our day in the woods. Come join us next time to experience it yourself! Submitted by Cheryl Peluso
